SciFi and Fantasy Art: The Vision and the Void

He has grown bitter throughout the passing of eternity, and become a lonely god. Then, once again, he finds the mortal love he lost so very long ago. His vision of her fills the void within his heart as silently, he wonders...Can I feel again?

The detail is great. I love the face in the background! It takes my breath away.
Thank you, Laura! I wanted to make it seem almost like a picture within a picture.

Male figure needs a bit of work, but that imperfection is lost in the sheer power behind this image. Loneliness can be a powerfull emotion and you pulled it off exquisitley.
This is actually one of my very early pieces, done over 5 years ago. But I am glad I still captured the emotional aspect of it...

This is beautiful! You have such an amazing sense of space! There's so much to look at... and yet it's not busy. And I love the title almost as much as the drawing!!! 2

:-) Heidi Hardmeier-Rogers replies: "This is a really old piece, but I keep getting such nice comments, maybe I'll leave it up for a while longer. Thank you!"

I love the background (her face)...how long did it take to overlap them like that?? I would go insane!

Why wasn't this mod's choice? (I really think their starting to lose it)

:-) Heidi Hardmeier-Rogers replies: "Lol. I didn't overlap them, I did them together as one piece. And thank you! ^_^"

This Reminds me of Apollo his love was a mortal woman and she died in a car crash and he was too late and couldn't save her that was one of the dark ages beacuse he didn't drive his golden chariot across the sky to bring the sun well it is a very good picture i like it

:-) Heidi Hardmeier-Rogers replies: "Thank you! I've always found mythology very interesting."
