SciFi and Fantasy Art: Early Morning Dreamer

Ok this is the first Pic Im putting in Lothlorien It's Just a quick put together of a character from a story Im working on called 'Sister Earth'. The pic it self only took me 10 minutes to draw and Ive left it rough I think it makes it look nice. there are a few problems with proportion and angle but I like this pic...So Critisise my pic Im looking forward to it.

His right arm seems a bit out of proportion to the rest of his body, but that may be the proximity to the "camera". A very nice pic, though....the facial expression is wonderful!

looks like the kind of gentle giant you'd like to have as a friend - like typhoon or somebody like that... 10 minutes eh... hmmmmm....

15 minutes?? And you tell us not to be jealous? Seriously, though, I really like it. He looks so peaceful, like all of his dreams are good ones.

i like the cat/lion face a lot - sure is one hell of a big - is that a breast hanging out? - i was going to say guy - of course shekhet or however it should be spellt was the gardian goddess of egyptian warriors (and generaly depicted as a lioness morph which is why i mention her) - anyway this looks like the kind of gentle giant every roll playing adventure party would like to have for it's "warrior" - at lest to me...

hehe i tried to get a parchment look, but yeah it does go a little fuzzy. Its a guy and thats his elbow, not a breast hehe and the spike coming out his elbow does take on some rather.. ehm, well qualitys from that angle. i think i still have the orginal some where, might dig it out and do my new rendering style on it.

I love the face. I think the computer techniques take more away from it than they add. There isn't enough contrast to really see what is going on here.

Great work! I don't know where all this "warrior" stuff came from tho, he looks to be more of a furry-monk or druid. A being of age and wisdom, sketched as he meditates by a compatriot/friend. He seems both savage, and kind. "Peace of the Earth upon you, brother..."

Very nice!!! Don't worry about the arms, it looks like he/she/it is wearing something like it is cold outside and is taking a moment to pray to his/her/its god or goddess. I also thought the page was blank, but I'm very grateful that my curiosity over-whelmed me to take a closer look.

I really like the way his expression/thoughts comes through in this picture. Nice, nice work.
