SciFi and Fantasy Art: Brilk, The Desert Dervish

Well this guy is Brilk, A Desert Monk, he bested a Sand Demon that was raiding the desert caravan trails in hand to hand combat, as a reward his temple master allowed him to keep the creatures sword (for a monk being allowed to have possesions is a big honor). As the Choosen are traveling through the eastern deserts they run into Brilk wandering the trails far from his temple, He instantly falls head over heals in love with Sharia, who casualy brushs his attempts aside. And as such he joins them in an attempt to woo her love, much to the annoyance of Sharia.
