SciFi and Fantasy Art: Meadhros' Portrait: After the Mountain

This one was some brain creature that just came up today and bit me on the arse. I was not really seeing Meadhros...not when I sat down to my computer. I knew I wanted to paint something. And before the first 1/2 hour of the process was passed, I had Meadhros standing there asking if I would please finish painting his robes before I got bored and put the picture away half finished. He is obviously self conscious about anyone seeing his mutilated limb. But you can hopefully see a hint of his dignity in there somewhere. And I was very pleased because after I got this done, I noticed that he indeed looked like the Meadhros in the portrait of him kissing Fingon. So I apparently have a very strong image in my mind of what this character looks like.

I know what you mean about pesky elf muses -- Maedhros has been bugging me for a pic of him just before he jumps into the flaming crack in the earth: kneeling, the Silmaril blazing in his left hand, tears streaming down his face from the pain -- but I can't draw worth diddly sob Well, at least I can write fan fic about him....
23 May 2004	Dragon Faerie	Loading... the color and everything are perfect, love it, the only thing is that the arms are a little short for the body, (but that is really hard I know) other than that, perfect!
