SciFi and Fantasy Art: Dreamcats- Joseph and Kiss

I swear to you, Joseph the Amazing Prismacolor Dreamcat was never meant to be more than a throwaway character, a one-shot. But some outside interest in the original picture inspired me to try another one, and now in fact I know a little bit more about Dreamcats. They have the ability to shift easily from anthropomorphs to quadrupeds, and to walk among dreams (that part was relatively easy to figure out), and they communicate through telepathy. Joseph's wings come from being some kind of elite, which his mate is not, hence her lacking of them. Joseph's real name is T-rrrrr and Kiss is K-sssss, but because these are difficult in the human tongue they've been nicknamed. All in all I think this picture came out much better than the first one, but there's still a few aspects that I may have failed to recreate. Bonus Deus that was a long description.

Heh. We used to have a race of bipedal pastel winged stripey cats running around our head.... weren't telepaths or shapeshifters, though. Were musicians.

Anyhoo. Massively keen stripes Jo's got. Glow-inna-dark-y.

I would love to know where your stories are baced, I fell into your pitures by accident. (then again maybe it was fate) can someone send me more info, BECAUSE I LOVE these cats!

:-) Mira J. R. Horsky replies: "Hi there- this must seem out of the blue since you left your comment in my gallery a while ago, but I came across it today and thought I should respond. My stories aren't based out of any world in particular, though I'm slowly building one myself. Check Wyvern's Library in a few days; I just sent in an upload which includes info about dreamcats."

I love the way Prismacolors layer; it's so easy to make those Forbidden Color Combinations of art school (like black and orange, red and green, green and purple) look good. Neat character design, too. I really like Joseph's wings.
