SciFi and Fantasy Art: Aubergine

a gift for Katelyn Kiki Kikenstein...whose unique style has fascinated me for quite some time. some things about this character reminded me of her style, but i dunno. visit her gallery, and tell me what you think. btw, the title refers to the color, not the fruit...though eggplant parmigian is one of my favorite dishes^^

This is absolutely fabulous! I have been to Katelyn's site very often, and she's great indeed. I love the color! The details are amazing and so is the expression. She seems a bit sad.
Love Rian

Oh, how I've waited for this moment - new pictures!
And such a lovely gift! No wonder she liked it...all those amazing details. But have you done anythins special to the skin areas? They seem so smooth and shiny compared to the rest of the lady...?hi bente^^ thank you! finally got a workable scanner! which might help explain! good eye, btw^^ i used a smudge tool to soften the skin tones...cuz for some reason, the scanner made the skin look much too grainy. it was simply unacceptable. my ongoing struggle with scanners continues!

The female forms you create are so lovely, as are the clothing and hair -- you create a wonderful sense of flowing motion.
