| 20 Jun 2002 | Jennifer Leigh Vincent | Too cool! *grins* Complete with runes, nonetheless! Dang. I've been meaning to ask you, how do you get the designs into a 3D format? Like on Dai'lin's original picture with the celtic knoork on the cheek armor. I love this picture. And Aidaron looks spectacular! As does Dai'lin, of course. Inge Schoorl replies: "Thanks for the compliment (-:The 3D effects are done partly by shadowing and partly by cheating! The celtic knotwork you mentioned I actually cut and pasted onto the face and then distorted it to fit. That's also why it's so, erm, sharp-edged. I don't think I've done anything like that anywhere else... This here shield is purely made by shadowing in Photoshop. I think I'm starting to get the hang of it (-:" | |
