| 23 Aug 2000 | Jena Marie Lombardi | First off, I must say, tha background turned out great! The coloring on the people is great, too, although they seem a bit... malproportioned in comparison to each other (intentional?) Cori's pose is amusing BTW. Raoul's legs seem a bit off, but I couldn't tell you specifically why or how to fix it, (so that's probably one of those comments I should've kept to myself, but I figured the longer the comment the better *grin*) I really like this pic. Artists comment: Yes, there's supposed to be a great difference between their sizes. Cori is under five feet and Raoul is a towering mountain of muscle over six feet tall. That's why they're so fun to draw together. | |
| 26 Aug 2000 | Genevieve C. 'Fiora' Baillie | Cori is SO DARLING in this picture! I love the way she's holding the flower up. Hmmm... yes, I see the leg problem with Raoul, too. Try sitting ot standing in the position you're trying to draw - when someone kneels like that, they're actually sitting on thier heels. ~grins~ Lovely picture, dear. And the colors are marvelous, and the background, so I'm extra-jealous of you on two points! Artists comment: Just to proove I'm getting a better concept of the legs, I'm doing the sitting-on-the-heels position again in one of my in-progress drawings. Thank you dear! | |
| 28 Nov 2000 | Cally G. Steussy | Well, the fact that Raoul doesn't have very much upper leg doesn't help. :-P But that's okay, this is a great pic anyway. I love the pond in the very back; when I first saw it I was ready to accuse you of stealing from a photo. :-P Artist's comment: ~blushes and puts her head in her hands~ I'm doomed, aren't I? Damn you Raoul. I made great point in doing another picture with the man sitting like that, his legs drawn properly. But the rest of it sucked, so it isn't here As for the background, no, I used no reference whatsoever. I can't imagine why it looks so nice . . . | |
