SciFi and Fantasy Art: Pirates . . .?

An ink sketch of two twin brothers, Kegan and Jonathan Startredder, who have the high aspiration of becoming pirates. Let's hope their father the king doesn't mine too much . . . In case you can't tell, Jonathan, the one with the black pony-tail had some problems with his right eye, so I covered it up with more hair. Ah, the joys. This is basically another try at learning human anatomy.

the guy on the right reminds me of duo. i like the way you drew the clothes. and the legs are good. the swords somehow add to the design, they enhance the graceful tilts of the legs
Artists comment: Wow. ~boggles~ That has to be one of the nicest things anyone's ever said about one of my pictures. And yes, the modle for the dark haired fellow on the right was Duo. The other was Quatre.

This is seriously and totally awesome! Definitely my fav. pic on your site (so far). The shading and texture and proportions are wonderful. I love the way you did the faces and hair, and just so you know, I am all about covering up evil eyes (hey, you've seen my work, you know what I'm talking about... "Twirly Spell" enough said). Seriously, they turned out great!!! (and, forgive me, but I must say this: the one on the left is really hot!)
Artists comment: ~laughs~ You're forgiven! Thanks Jena!

Or their mother - she'll have a coniption fit that her two babies want to be pirates. You did a beautiful job on Kegan and his proportions and his face and hair are gorgeous. Personally, I think Kegan's to hot to be a pirate - Jonathan on the other hand seems to fit into the role perfectly in my mind. Bravo.

I am feeling distinctly uncreative, so I can't comment on specific attributes - Kegan as a whole came out better I think but Jonathan is more alive. Anyway, overall, I think this is really one of your better pictures - consistently good all the way thru. I wish I could be more specific than saying "it's good" *grins*
