SciFi and Fantasy Art: Wet Rose in the Shadow

Is that a pun? I think so. Damn, I have to stop doing that. A sketch/not-sketch (I can't decide if it's a completed piece of not) in mechanical pencil of one of my current torture victims, DyBane-Startredder Kage, merman. I like him, even though I'm sure there's about a zillion problems with how this has been done. Oh well.

I think perhaps making his hair even darker would be a coold contrast, but I really love how you did the hair and it would be a fine line, trying to make it darker without losing the wonderful depth and texture you've put into it. I really love his eyes and ears... spiffy picture, I can't believe i didn't comment on it before! oh, and happily does first comment dance can't forget that!
