SciFi and Fantasy Art: Lost love will stay

An experiment in technique inspired by the artist Craig Mullins. The idea has been to give the scene more life by leaving many of the details out and thus giving more space for imagination. You don't even have to look very close to see through the feeling of realism the lightning renders and then you'll see both the strokes of the brush and all the mistakes.

Photoshop csII on wacom tablet (get one!) in Jan 2007.

Wow! This is really amazing! Looks almost like a photo! Love the ships down there... faaar away and so small looking. I'ts like sitting and hiding up by the roof and looking down! Impressive! The only thins amiss that I could see (and it's a small thing) is that the light coming from the window goes in a straight line on the floor (across the ship there) but the ship is entierly lit by light and not affected by the walls shadow. That's curious, but the rest is just... wow!! 2

Haha! At first I thought this was just a photograph of a hangar. I was going to ask why this was on Elfwood. Now I understand. Good job on psyching me out. It's an awesome picture!

The lighting really works to make it realistic. This is so cool, very atmospheric. The catwalk reflections on the floor are particularly nice. So what are the vehicles on the ground? The building looks like a hangar of some sort.
