SciFi and Fantasy Art: Character SketchesShowing several stages of my character creation, this piece exhibits a variety of characters from different worlds. On top, the humanside of Xcaret Mrikerae, from 'John Doe #22048763,' and her dragonsided niece, Phoenix Mrikerae, from 'Wildfire.' Both are characters from my novel 'Russet Dawn,' of which the aforementioned stories are part 1 and part 2, respectively. Under them are some body sketches of Nicholas Kahena BlackCloud, a Souix-Welsh, the main character of the part 3 of 'Russet Dawn,' titled 'At Ebony Horizon.' The shaded portions are pine green and the white areas silver. Below that are various sketches of Imhauri Osihrus, a Seriphan cartographer from Impyre, and main character of a future story. All these sketches start out as those feathery wireframes you see under Nick Kahena, and evolve to line outlines and then shaded peices such as Hauri's portrait there at the bottom. | |
