SciFi and Fantasy Art: Venemous

My latest completed commission! She's a taipan, one of the most venemous snakes in the world. Finished April of '04, I'm very pleased with how she turned out. She definately marks a new stage in the development of my art. She's a biggun' at 11X14 inches and was first sketched, then inked, colored Prismacolors and finally topped off with acrylic white for the shininess. ... yeah ... I like snakes.

must have taken a looong time. I like how the background is fairly simple so as not to take glory away from the main picture. she looks steampunk-ish, probably because of that gun.
