SciFi and Fantasy Art: Ogre Reading

Haha, just a vision that appeared to me one afternoon while relaxing. I saw an old ogre who spent his whole life wreaking havoke on towns people and killing inocent creatures and fighting battles one day finally repenting. Turning vegitarian and for the first time learning how to read. Here he looks like he's half way through the book, but he just flipped it open to the middle. He's so clueless that he doesn't even know wher to start reading. My sister said it was sad. lol

Maybe he should have chosen a book with more pictures in it? I must say it's wonderful work you've done here, I'm still smiling! I love the brown tones you've used in your recent uploads, they add to the atmosphere.

:-) James Elliott Whitley replies: "The term you are looking for is sepia. Pictures with a dark brown tint to them are said to have a sepia tone. It makes it feel more genuinely a classic piece, or part of the past. This is an ogre so obviously I wanted it to feel like part of the past since they are tales of creatures from the dark ages, or medieval times. Thanx!"

Poor ogre, he's going to have trouble turning a page with those hands...

What an interesting idea. I'd like to see the point where he wants to try his hand at writing his autobiography.
