SciFi and Fantasy Art: Adventuring Troupe

This is a group portrait of the adventuring group in a GURPS fantasy campaign that I used to play in (my character was the hot babe with the crossbow, her name is Joanna). It ws a pretty cool campaign, and everyone had a pretty fleshed out concept of their characters. It ended when the two middle characters (the boy and the girl with the staff) got married, and decided to use their powers to take over the world. I always wondered how they managed to aquire so much power while the rest of us were still so weak, but such is GURPS. If you know the rules well it was a new system for the rest of us.

And exactly what would be considered non-arch-typical? Last I heard, Shaolin monks have always worn the same outfits( except that their right shoulder is exposed and not covered in cloth.)

Something about it reminds me a little of the companions form the dragonlance saga, the boy in the middle with the short sword is kinda out of place there don't ya think? Heh, his attention is somewhere else it seems. Very ncie work. the huge guy in the back is especially interesting.

Yeah, his attention may have waivered, but Sprout knows which side his bread is buttered on. Well, he does or I'll drop him in the sun... 14

*LOL* I'm assuming you made Sprout holding onto his sword like that for the explicit purpose of envoking a few chuckles? (Either that, or my mind needs a good bath.) The point is, it's still an enjoyable picture. *shuffles away*

For those who are fans of the Joanna character I finally started a yahoo group dedicated to her. A Yahoo group is cheaper and easier so I went that route. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/JoannaDelZoltan

Is the huge guy in the back a Firbolg giant or something? Either way, looks like a good swing from his hammer could give an ankylosaurus a run for his money.

I like the big guy in the middle..

:-) Matt Jarrett replies: "Why do girls always like the big guys? On second thought, don't answer that."

I love Joanna's outfit in this one. It seems kinda Mad Max-ish in a very good way 1

:-) Matt Jarrett replies: "I actually stole the design of Joanna's outfit from a Xena character, whom I couldn't name even if I tried since I only caught glimpses of the show when channel surfing. It was some blonde chick who I thought was HOT, was an enemy of Xena, and I think she was a goddess or something. Callisto maybe was her name? I dunno."

Wow they are all 4 feet tall - except for that guy with the hammer - he is as tall as me.
Looks good!

:-) Matt Jarrett replies: "Well, actually everyone is of average height, its the guy in the back with the hammer that's huge (standing about 7 feet tall, maybe more)."

Pretty dynamic and cool! Well done Matt!

:-) Matt Jarrett replies: "Thank you!"
