I've always had an interest in art since I grew up with artist parents, but had never seriously tried it myself. I started drawing in June of this year (1997), and you will find my drawings pretty much in the order in which I drew them, so you can sort of see what I learned as I went along. When I learn something new, I tend to go back and apply the new technique to a lot of the old drawings, so they are all in various stages of completion. I was first inspired to do this when I found Boris Vallejo's pictures and this wonderful website. I am a 46 year old housewife, going back to school after 28 years for computer graphics, and am enjoying drawing and school tremendously.  Almost all of the drawings were done on copy paper with regular pencil. The last few were actually done with drawing pencils and a sketch pad. I'm moving up in the world! :) All of them were done freehand.  I'd very much appreciate your thoughts/criticisms on my drawings, as I don't always see them objectively.  Hope you enjoy viewing them as much as I enjoyed drawing them.

Update May 2007:  After having lost my access info to Elfwood, a new email, and just being very busy, I never added the rest of the pics.  I did a total of 19, and for various reasons was not able to continue drawing... so everything past the first 9 are new to Elfwood but were done in the same time period as the original 9.  Pics 10-19 are not in the order done.  Going on age 56 this year... ten years at Elfwood... What an amazing and wonderful site this is!!! :D
