SciFi and Fantasy Art: Prance, unicorn! YAY!

I draw too many sad unicorns...SO, I give you the happy unicorn! SHE SO HAPPY!
And a background...wow...I know it's simple, but I'm really not used to doing it...any helpful tips to creating a background (or improving this one) would be much appreciated!

one thing I've noticed about a lot of digital backgrounds is the backgrounds don't look like it's same style as the subject. but all in all, I LOVE THIS PIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow!! I do like the idea of the unicorn dancing around have a hell of a time, but I would like to give out some pointers. Try making the legs more toned and thicker, show some muscle toned to the unicorn make his body a little more thicker, but besides that GREAT JOB!!!! 2

It's really *CUTE* but i do have a bit of "constructive criticism" about most of the creatures. On the back legs, elongate the part right before the hooves/talons/feet. I dunno if it makes a difference, but i usually make that the longest part of the leg. But i feel like a hypocrite, 'cuz i'm not nearly as good as you! =P

Hmm.. Looks like most everyone else is critisizing, maybe I'll give it a shot..
People have already said things about the legs, the front ones are a bit thin even for a unicorn ^^; But I would like to say, the neck seems a bit too skinny as well, and the ear looks huge... I know unicorns have big ears, but those might be too big ^^;; ... Also the horn looks kind of funny to me, I've always thought them as an extension of the spine, though I could be wrong.. It just seems strangly tilted or something ^^;
Otherwise, this is an awesome picture, the backround is nice, better than I could do..

I think the legs are fine, frankly. Some critters are just built that way.

UNICORNS AREN'T SUPPOSED TO LOOK LIKE HORSES. They can have dainty deer legs, people. Ever take a look at a real deer, in real life? They have legs so thin you wonder how they stand up, but they stand just fine, and they can give you a good kick with those spindly legs, too.

Add to what i said before! The legs are FINE!!! Don't change them! Unicorns don't have to look like horses! And thats because there not!! THEY ARE UNICORnS!!! NOT HORSES!!!
~People just don't get it.....~ Go skinnie legs!!XD

I love it! But if you do whant to add more to it you could add some flowers! I think flowers would look good and pluse, when one sees flowers they think happy thoughts! (well, most people that is..)

Well I am a horse person, for I have some of my own. I'm not being mean but it doesn't resemble a horse. Horses backs rarely ever acrh like that, making me think of a dog lol sorry about that though, the legs are to thin so people stop saying they arn't, if you wont to keep them that size then I would should some tendens or muscles or somthing, my only other sugggestion is to look at the horses anatomy/

this picture is nicely shaded. and well done on making it look 3D. The only thing is i’m curious as to why you made the front legs thinner?.... The only description of a unicorn i have ever read about says that it has the front legs of a horse with the hind legs of a deer and a tail of a lion. Just curious if you read some other description...
This unicorn doesn’t look very happy to me... I’m not saying that it looks sad, but that doesn’t make it happy either.... all in all. nice talent. I love the way you altered the reality in this picture. I think it makes it look more magical.
I kind of like the thin legs. I gives the impression the unicorn is almost walking on air, gliding over the field... never leaving tracks... well done
