SciFi and Fantasy Art: The Samsa Condition

I was thinking the other day of Kafka’s The Metamorphosis and how I would like to illustrate Gregor Samsa as an insect. Then I go to thinking of how I could make Samsa a bug, without really making him a bug. Thus, I came up with this costume design. I like it.

It's... hideous! Run for your lives! Why, to fend off a creature of such putresence none but the holy +5 Apple of Existentialism will do!

Flippin' A that's neato!! It's cool to see some lit art here. We read that story in my A.P. class and spent the whole period tripping off how strange and great it was. To all y'all who haven't read it and are as twisted and attracted to the randomly strange like me, please read it.

Kafka wrote the metamorphosis as something comic, this is not comic at all, its a masterpiece, but has nothing to do with samsa...

Really interesting, especially how you handled the middle set of legs. Lots of interesting stuff in your gallery, but this is tops.
