Yar, this is pretty kickin! Gaaah! I really need to fix up those scans i did before i add to me gallery. ...I'll feel bad about putting up poor quality scans when there are such beautiful pictures that artists like you took so much time on.

I was just checking out your gallery instead of working at work, looking for a wallpaper from my computer desktop. Anyway, seeing this makes me think that you could do a comic of Mythos Vs. Godzilla (and other large Japanese movie monsters). Mecha Kong throws down with Nyarletotep! Speaking of wallpapers, you should do more landscape oriented drawings 1.

Also, it sort of reminds me of the Balrog in the LotR movies (the wings anyway).

:-) Jedediah Dougherty replies: "Sorry about that lack of horizontal pictures- I will get right on that. What's your screen resolution? Mythos Kong- there is an idea..."

This is scary...I wouldn't want to meet that creature! The green tints fit very well in this, I like also that turquoise sky and that glow in the ground. Great work!

Lovecraft's long been one of those writers that it's hard for me to find illustrations of his work that I like. I like this one. 1 He went with the "too insanely terrifying to describe" route a lot, with inhuman shapes and whatnot. The pyramid thingies bring that out to me. 1 Now if you can just get that Colour from outer space. . .

Great piece of art! I'd love to host this pic and any other HPL art on my Lovecraft webpage.

Wow, excellent use of colour. The yellow and green really leap out at you

:-) Jedediah Dougherty replies: "Thanks- as I recall it was tough getting interesting green variations out of my choice of green paints- also it hard keeping it looking like it was glowing."
