SciFi and Fantasy Art: Infinite Vision

This was created to be the cover of a CD, though I have not had any contact with the requestee for many months, so I decided I would (finally) upload this image to share with others. I'm still very fond of this picture, both my idea for it and how it turned out. The only filter I used creating this was some Gaussian blur to keep the glow around the crystal ball uniform. The lighting/shading was all done by hand. One of my favorite elements is the eye in the skull armor plate on her shoulder - wicked! =)

GAHH unbelievible.. i could never draw that good not color (since i have no computer coloring things8 ) I love her eyes but though for me shes a little to skinny... Thanks for the comment - glad you like it! I don't know if I ever envisioned doing work like this, so you never know. As for my sorceress here, well perhaps she's a bit too thin...probably more due to her less robust left hip. Still, I'm pretty satisfied with this one.

my, arent'WE the popular one dear~ your pics always seem to be moderator choices. I've never had one yet >. LOL! Thanks for putting a smile on my face Kat! Well, I've only had two selected thus far (and the first one wasn't even a new picture)...I don't know why any of your work wasn't picked - just keep submitting more stuff and I'm sure we'll all see Meru or Myu or one of your other creations on the Elfwood main page. Oh yeah...glad you like this one - thanks for commenting!

You've given wonderful colours to this image, Jeff. The idea of the crystal ball is very nice. I love pictures where things repeat and repeat in the picture, like you have in the ball. I know you have a word for it but I can't remember 2 Thanks Anneke - you know I like bright colors very much! 2 Yeah, I think there is a term for what you're talking about...but I can't think of it either. 2

I like the neatness of this pic, everything is so precise. The colouring of her hair is also very nice Well, I don't always put the same level of effort into every picture (yes I know, bad me) but I did try to make this as nice and neat as I could - I'm glad my efforts were successful. Who doesn't like purple hair? 2 Thanks much for the comment!

I love the colours of this pic! Thank you! I'm a big fan of bright, vibrant colors and don't try to hide that fact in my own work. 2

Great job! The coloring of this is just excellent. The shadowing/highlights are right on. I love how she is holding herself in that orb, its very mysterious. Wonderful concept and originallity too. Thanks much for your comment! This is still one of the better pictures in this gallery and I'm pretty pleased with it myself. Once I got the idea in my head the rest just fell into place - it was definitely an enjoyable picture to create.

She's beautiful, she has an inocence to her eyes that's kind of unusual with your other pics.... Very nice
