| 1 Feb 2003 | Evelien | The hair and the shading is soooo beautiful!!! | |
| 24 Feb 2003 | Anonymous | I love her hair! It's way unique! | |
| 24 Mar 2003 | Nilak | Hmm... why does my hair always turn out pink? Jena, this is great! I like her hair... -melissa Jena Marie Lombardi replies: "*looks sheepish* I TRY not to! It's just... the color we used on the original picture was obscure crayola colors that just doesn't exist anywhere else, and I have yet to be able to reproduce it properly... and by-the-by, thanks for visiting! *grins and waves*" | |
| 26 Sep 2003 | Erin Elizabeth Miller | Woah, I love this picture! Such beautiful coloring and shading! I stink at both! What medium did you use to draw this? Jena Marie Lombardi replies: "Really? You like the coloring? *grins happily* Well thank you! I used prismacolor pencils (Tho I sketched it out before hand w/ my generic mechanical pencil thing... not quite adventurous enough to skip THAT stage) *grins again*" | |
| 9 Mar 2004 | Jamie Stolz | The colors are *perfect*! ~sigh of wonder~ Especially up close (as close as I can get on a computer screen) I love all the tiny variations and the brightness of them. Of course, I'm a huge prismacolor fan no doubt, but you can do prismacolors a lot more justice than I can! I love how her eyes and lips are such vibrant colors and the blend of the hair. I lvoe her expression and the movement you managed to create in a headshot. Some artists do anime because they can't do realism. Some artist (like myself) do something other than anime because they can't do anime. You are clearly not in either of those categories since you excel so much at both. Jena Marie Lombardi replies: "Wow... long shiny comment. *hugs you* There are bits of the hair that didn't turn out as I had hoped, but other bits that actually came out ok. Thanks for noticing the ok bits! *grin* And long live the prismacolors! Rarr!" | |
