SciFi and Fantasy Art: Black & White

spent a couple history and astronomy lectures working on this, but I kinda like it nonetheless. It's always so much easier to focus when my hands are doing something menial. These are all characters from the same manga project as the rest of the pics in this gallery. *grin*

Awesome inking job. how many characters are in there?

:-) Jena Marie Lombardi replies: "*grins* I'm gladja like the inking... it was the main motivation behind the pic. And there's twelve different char's in there... 'cuz twelve's my lucky number *grins* again. actually, it's just a coincidence (but 12 really IS my lucky number). "

Jena? carveing...? AHH! no! she needs those fingers! & so do i...*grinz*

:-) Jena Marie Lombardi replies: "Oh come now.... am I THAT bad? *hurt look* I can be coordinated! sorta... sometimes... okay, so maybe I'd lose a finger or two. But I have 10! Who needs 10 fingers, that's so redundant! 'course I don't really like pain... and bleeding all over the carving would probably not be a good thing. Maybe I'll just stick to the pencils and paper and safe supplies... (though paper cuts can be nasty). "

I can see you still have an obsession with my likeness and the man love. But, it makes me curious: Why Ryan? Nothing wrong with him, I guess. Just wondering.

:-) Jena Marie Lombardi replies: "Why Ryan? Umm... what, you want LOGIC or something? *twitches* Well aesthetically speaking, I like the color contrast... and your characters DO make a cute couple, what with the bits of personality we've given 'em. Heh... that and I really CAN'T seem to escape the shounen-ai. I think I'm doing pretty good for a week or so and then it creeps persistently back into my brain. Such the obsession. *sigh* Maybe it means I need to get out more or something. Or maybe I'm thinking about it too hard. But anyway, yeah. You and Ryan. You should think about it sometime. *evil smirk* "

Wow! That's a lot of black and white but it is awesome! How long did this take you to do may I ask?

:-) Jena Marie Lombardi replies: "*looks pensive* Lessee... I seem to remember working on it on & off for about a week. But I really only worked on it in my history class, and that were 3 days a week or so... so um... *does math badly in head* 4 or 5 hours? Probably woulda gone faster had I been smart and filled in the black bits on computer. Ah well. Such it is. *impish grin*"
