SciFi and Fantasy Art: The Wall

No, this isn't a reference to any rock albums. Its just that the wall in this picture is what I remember about it, and it certainly took longer than everything else in it. Oh, that guy is supposed to be holding thunderbolts, though no one ever seems to get that. ('Why is he holding zigzags?', etc) As in supernatural powers...... *Sigh*. I try.

14 Apr 2002	Liu Yiqing	Loading... I like the way you drew and shaded the wall. The vines twisting along it add a little something to the picture as well. I will admit it doesn't look as though he's holding thunderbolts to me, either.. ^^; I noticed that you'd added a lighter glow about the bolts -- that's working, but perhaps the effect would be a little more obvious if the halo of light was expanded? In any case, the shading overall's very well done, I likes. ^^ Winifred Von Jenovia replies: "Thanks! I had to crop out part of the wall for the elfwood picture, and there is a lot more with more vines. They are what I enjoyed the most about drawing it. Expanding the halo would help, and now that I think about it maybe if the thunderbolts didn't look like cardboard cutouts. "
