It would have been great if the picture was a little bigger, cause I would have loved to have seen the way you applied the paint. Heaps of movement in this piece. He looks to be covering himself from a harmful force that is devouring the whole canvas. A confronting piece.

actually, in response to seth wanting to see how I applied the paint, theirs actually no paint used in this picture. I used pens and pencils and the white is white out~gotta get creative about getting creative! and yes Seth it is true this is a very confrontational peice-IT was a part of taking back the control I had given someone else over me.

On the first look I thought there was something attacking him. Then I realized that there was nothing threatening him, apart from himself. This is what I like the most in your work, the endles possibilities, since I know that I'll always come up with yet another way to put this image into words, but I would still be talking about the same thing, the essence of each image... In this case, I'm beginning to think that his own reality caught up with him and now he's facing his fears. Or something. *Walks away mumbling to himself*
YOu have got it exactly. i could not have put it better myself!!!

someone once asked me if I thought it was scary to expose ones soul for all to see in my pictures. I think in my case he was referring to 'The fall' but I wonder the same thing of this one. You out your heart and sould into every picture don't you! You certainly see things in a different dark! Thankyou for for shining your dark into the light for us all to share.

besides the clown metaphor, I like the contrasting colors here, very expressive pic.

What is the light object on the far right? It looks some sort of axe of hatchet? It looks like once the clown melts from this mortal plane, the party is just getting started in the land of eternal damnation. Let the games begin! Godess above, I'd hate to be on your bad side.
y'know Phil, what you wrote made me laugh hysterically and almost cry.
cuz you know what is behind this picture, and its largely cuz of you that i got thru it.Thank YOu!!! its truly great to come out the other side and be able to be proud of the art created out of so much pain!!! thanks fer being here for me.always.and i will always do the same for you.

Man I hate clowns... That isn't even Stephen King's fault...

This is just badass! You are so good with expression...something about the exaggerrated expression on the clown's face makes this especially terrifying. You have very good instincts as to what makes ppl feel certain emotions. You're not a psych major are you? *grins*

Something to really think about.
Great work. Very expressive.
