| 17 Dec 2000 | Ethan Gilchrist | Very nicely done! I especially like the cat it's a nice touch and points out how a cat is a VERY calming influence when you feel yourself spinning out of control emotionally. I know this from personal experience! Meow! | |
| 4 Jan 2001 | Tansy Pye | This is the tarot card The Magician I think... you know this sets me to wondering... there are enough pics like this out here that I think it would be possible to make a really nice Elfwood tarot deck... I have so any projects like this, but I just dont spend enough tie at my compuer to do any of them! | |
| 11 Jan 2001 | Elena Vanin | Do you study art? I notice how many of your works seem to have a connection with some artistic movements, thus I thought that. The symbolism, oniricism (???exists this word ???^_^) and your use of colors and shapes is, how to say? It seems to be strongly conscious. | |
| 11 Feb 2001 | John Teall | survival and more then survival - rebirth - the city no longer an icon but just a place with a lot of big buildings - largely abondoned - too little nature in it - but remembered as having once been central and then moved on from - a future of much hope - a light of dawn after a mercifuly brief period of less happy times - spirit survives - to build anew - with clearer eyes and further sight ... after the storm - the waters have cleared - they sparkle - which is what makes me see this city as no longer central to human society - the old accumulations of litter and grime having been long since washed away - and society itself having matured somewhat - no longer quite so careless of air and life - but preserves a reminder of our times - before this was so ... ~ 'to be the remainder that will reascend' or rather "the reminder' . thank you! you seem like a fully concious person. a rare thing. | |
| 22 Mar 2001 | John Wesley Hardin | The earthly world had cast him forth, to wander, wander; no living heart to love him now; for his sore miseries there was no solace here. | |
| 9 Aug 2001 | Heidi Jo Blackburn | And you conveyed it very well! The figure is so peaceful, when everything around it is going to hell. Very beautiful...the background is so serenely colored, but chaotic. I did a picture like this once during a computer class when I was mad/bored...not near as nice though, since I used Corel Ciplart (not nearly as genuine!)...but the figure was in the same pose.I like how he floats so peacefully, when the current is so strong. | |
| 11 Aug 2001 | Kirk A. Dymbrowski | Thanks...for conveying that. I am entering a very chaotic time...my chaos may not be resolved until sometime in October....ugggh. Meditation, and half-lotus position...the tranquility, and fluidity of water....a rising sun. Surrounded by modern life(drat that modern life). To be honest I haven't fully noticed or realized your lines and geometry yet...not in any analyitical or comment-ish sort of way.....I just enjoyed the feeling, and the wisdom. If you were looking to give wisdom and a strength for "coping with stuff"....then you definitely succeeded. I have no clue about the 'technical' aspects of this as a composition.....I only felt the peace and wisdom. Thanks. You are sweet to share this with us, it is probably very personal for you.....much of your work seems very personal. | |
| 31 Aug 2001 | Dalbini | The backgroung is really captivating!!And those lil' cats are the cutest on earth!!! | |
| 7 Sep 2001 | Kalorlo (Heather Kelly) | Serenity... and the land becomes the sea, or a river, carrying you away. Leaves the city behind, but gently washes all life onward. To what? Peace, perhaps. | |
| 28 Aug 2003 | Ally | *mewl* *blinks tears away* . . . ACK!! I think I'm a bit in love with your mind. Jennifer Varon replies: "I love you Ally. I love your mind." | |
