i really love the way you did the shading on the bars and the hair. the pencil was a good choice...it kind of makes the picture look dirty (well he IS in a sewer, after all!) and it makes the little urchin just blend into the grime of all that civilization. but more than looking desolate, he just looks.....well....adorable!! (eyes glittering) one question...can i keep him?

I like how the pencil lines show in the background....dont know why but it just gives you that feeling that the city is a dump. He looks very cute. And the lines in the hat must have been a pain to draw in.
I don't think I noticed them, really. It was a boring day, and I love to draw! ^.^ Thanks for commenting again, Jane!
