SciFi and Fantasy Art: Silver Dragon

Oh, I'm happy with this one too! She's a silver dragon, and she even *looks* silver. Do any other dragon-artists out there not know what sex dragon they're drawing, then all of a sudden just *know* if its male or female? Happens to me all the time.. ::shrugs:: Usually I find out shortly before they're finished.. one of those 'you just know' things, I guess.

On a side note, because everyone seems to just love the shading (as do I) and the 'actual' silver look... 90% of my working knowledge on that subject came from the FARP articles on metallic and reflective surfaces; just as they taught me how to color on the computer. Go check them out. Seriously.

Wow! I wish I could draw dragons like that! Mine always come out sorta weird-looking. She really is a pretty dragon *lol*! The shading, particularly, is good.

She's wonderful - looks like quicksilver to me, all smooth and flowing lines. I love the wings, and the curve of her neck. Oh - and I just came off your metallic dragons tour, which was great - amd this is a great culmination of it!

She's beautiful! So shiny! Well composed too. I love the
smile on her face, her lifted paw, curled tail...oh heck,
she is a wonderful dragon. :~)

Gorgeous drawing! It looks like she could just fly out of my screen.

damn that's good shading. no, really. i seriously wish i could shade like that...i just can't get the hang of it.
you ought to shade more of your work as dramatically as this one...it looks so GOOD!
her feet are a tad small, but have i ever drawn a dragon? no...
she's so pretty.

Male or female--the eyes, the expression, and the roughness of the body always will tell the sex of the dragon--the shading is perfect for the silver--keep up the work--

Okay, I agree. I have no constructive criticism to give on this one, I'm sorry... because it just looks wonderful how it is. 2 Maybe a bit of shading on the filmy part of the wings, but that's not necessary. The shading on this one is superb! 2

The only flaw...The front feet look too much like human hands...But other than that, i'm blown away!

I think that your drawing will win an award someday. This is a very good drawing and I absolutly love it. I draw dragons all the time and my dragons always win first place at the art fairs I go to.
