SciFi and Fantasy Art: Fer-De-Lance

Fer-De-Lance is the name of a species of snake. I ran across it while studying up on my animal anatomy, thought it fit this guy real well. My mother says he looks like a Komodo dragon so I went with the idea and fashioned him after the only real dragon on earth the komodo with a few changes. Real komodos don't have wings and thier feet aren't as pretty as the feet I gave this guy.

Our class at school had to pick out of a hat and find out about an amazon animal! And guess what i picked out? A fer de lance! The main only thing i know is that the animal is a snake that has dangores poison.

6 Aug 2005	Majik	Loading... There was a computer game in the 1980s called 'Elite' in which all the spaceships had the names of snakes. the Fer-De-Lance was the class of ship favoured by bounty hunters, fast and hard to kill. Oh and your picture's cool too.
