SciFi and Fantasy Art: Farewell to Innocence

He pulls her over to a window and looks at her ' I will return to you my love, no matter what, I will return, ' Jazz gives Softpaw a gentle smile and  moves to lift her chin up with one hand, his other going around her neck ' Our love is something that only happens once in millennia Vannesa, always remember that'

She smiles placing her hand upon his hip under the rumpled suit jacket he likes to wear 'I know you will Jazz, the stars have blessed us, only death can part us now, and even that I am not entirely sure about, for even though we be not wed, our souls are bound to one another, for all eternity, both here, and hereafter' A slight attempt at a smile for him, he is after all going off to battle the next day, she should not be so down but brave, for him.

At her smile he gives her one back, pulling her into his warm embrace, hands moving though her long blond hair, so like silk to him, 'Aye, and when I return, we shall become man and wife, so that all in Cattassa will know of our bond and never try to pull it asunder.'

Fate however, has different plans for the pair of young lovers, little did they know on this night, it would be there last night together for eight years. Eight years where one was thought dead and the other, to save her life, had been bespelled to forget him.

What can I say that's not already been said? Her right hand looks a bit awkward, and his facial expression is a bit 'off' somehow...but beyond that, this is a masterpiece. The title is quite apropos, given that their poses seem so full of innocence..and in so short a time that same innocence will be torn asunder.

i have never fully understood why anyone - let alone the vast and overwhelming majority who seem to - insist upon immagining that the shairing of physical pleasure somehow precludes ever again intending no harm. it is a wonderful picture and a poingent story. ... ~12 errmm not EXACTLY sure what your meaning by physical pleasre and harm there..Soft and Jazz had been saving themeselfs for there maggried for oen thing..and they's rather die then hurt each other intentoly
