SciFi and Fantasy Art: Hook and Chain

I was playing warcraft 3, and I saw the big hook-on-a-chain that the abominations were swinging around. I thought that thing could make a pretty cool martial arts type of weapon. Later I found out that a bunch of ninjas must have had the same idea because a similar martial arts weapon does exist.

Nice picture and nice details!

I think the weapon that is being referred to is the Kyotetsu-Koge - an awesome ninja weapon to put down escaping enemys.

Doesn't the ninja weapon end in a scythe-like blade?
