I think the saddle is just right, cause, if the mount stands up, it is in a normal horizontal way.

He meets Ramirez, an Espanol Immortal, who helps him finding other Immortal who ritually give him their power to eventually defeat Cortane, an Immortal who's ruling the land with a steel clutch. Quentin and Ramirez are riding strange bipedal lizards, and this drawing makes me think about Ramirez. | |
