SciFi and Fantasy Art: Aditu noe-Sa'onserei

This picture shows one of the most popular characters of Tad Williams 'Memory, Sorrow and Thorn' Trilogy: Aditu, Princess of the Sithi and Sister of the Prince Jiriki. You can see a part of the Yasirá at the background. For all of you who hadn't read the story here comes a little explanation: The Yasirá is the holy gathering place of the elven tribe called Sithi. Basically it's a giant tent with a ash tree as centric pole. The tent itself doesn't consist of fabric but of butterflíes who are sitting at threads, which are trailing from the branches to the ground. The roses you can see at the side are growing around a pillow of wood, which is part of a carved frame - the entry. Creation and posing of the different parts of the picture was done at Poser while the postwork and composition was done at Photoshop. It's my first step into the world of 3D animation and art so I hope you like the result.

One of my favorite pictures in your gallery. But ( I'm not sure) hasn't aditu and jiriki the same hair colour?!
I love the background and the butterflys*smile*

I absolutely love Aditu, and your picture of her eloquently captures her otherworldly grace.

visitor 1582 here. Gorgeous! Here face is certainly other-wordly, yet still alluring. Interesting eyes. She seems very intent on that butterfly - I wonder why...
