SciFi and Fantasy Art: Cybernetic Gryphon (Or griffin for you odd spelling types)

'You're wondering who I am. Machine or mannequin, with parts made in Japan. I am the modern Gryf. I’ve got a secret that I’ve been hiding, under my skin. My heart is avian, my blood is boiling, my brain IBM. So if you see me acting strangely don’t be surprised, I’m just a Gryf who, needed someone, and somewhere to hide to keep me alive. Yes, keep me alive. Somewhere to hide to keep me alive. I’m not a robot without emotion. I’m not what you see. I’ve come to help you with your problems so we can be free. I’m not a hero, I’m not a savior, forget what you know. I’m just a Gryf whose circumstances went beyond his control. Beyond my control. We all need control, I need control. We all need control. I am the modern Gryf, who hides behind a mask. So no one else can see, my true identity.' And there you have it. With a few minor modifications Mr.Roboto by the Styx becomes a gryphonic theme song. I stayed up till two in the morning drawing and inking this picture while listening to Mr.Roboto the entire time. I guess thats what some people call insperation...or mental instability. Whichever it is it produced a cool picture, that I think I will use on my next T-shirt batch. So don't use it, if you want one draw your own version or ask me but leave this one where it's at.

I love this pic. also. The detial is high and those legs are just right. I was unsure about the eye...at first it was hidden by the detailing and I thought it might have been closed in a sort of silent honorable vigil. I also love the way the beak has that little rim across it and how that weapon really addes to the char. well done.

This is a really neat picture. The shading, the detail, the ways he's posed and holding the weapon. It's really neat. It might be because I'm th' odd type but fer some reason I think th' weapon "flows" with the gryph, it's like it was made for him. Very well done. I also like that each and every single feather is visible and how they look like pieces of metal. A cyber Gryphon...what will they think of next?
