SciFi and Fantasy Art: Dakishimete

Japanese word meaning, to hold or embrace; the word itself seems delicate to me. One of the things I love most about the painting is the way they're looking at eachother. The detail was a bit difficult to paint, but I managed to pull through somehow. Damien's left arm looks kinda short, but I touched it up a bit after I scanned it. So, how do you like my first watercolour?

Jessiqa, You know how much I love this picture. Remember that first time you showed it to me? I just stared at it for like a half hour. You and Danielle were a bit confused. I don't know, it is just so beautiful and it hit me in a way. The way Sailormoon affects me, ya know? It looks great right now, but this computer scanned image is no substitute for seeing it on paper. This will always be one of my favorites. Btw, I see you still haven't invented shirts that cover the shoulders, but Damiens is the closest I have ever seen you draw. LOL. I'm still your #1 fan.

Absolutely warm and captivating. An embrace transmits a person's innermost feelings for another. As they cherish the moment, this one seems to last forever.

How lovely! Your first try at watercolor? You've manipulated the medium well. Their faces are so peaceful, and you've got a good sense of their spatial relationship to each other.
