SciFi and Fantasy Art: Mourning

Wow I'm good with titles (being sarcastic). Anyways this is Zeinith, the guardian of this forest. Unfortunately for her she's a basalisk, and will never be able to actually see what she is guarding in fear that she might kill it. So she only ever hears stories of the forests beauty and the animals that live within it. Of course this makes her fairly sad, so she hides behind the mask of joy so as to not upset the inhabitants of her realm. I couldn't get that river to look like water...grrrr. But her wings turned out nice! And the picture was so blurry that I've had to uploaded it several times over...>_<

Wow, I really like this one! I really love your colour choice and your sun highlights! (are you getting sick of my many comments yet)

:-) Jessica Weinheimer replies: "Thanks! And I'll never get sick of your comments!"

I really like this. The coloring and the whole composition itself is marvelous! Oh yeah, *does first comment jig*

2 Jessica Weinheimer replies: "Weee! Thanks so much! The only thing I'm upset about is the fact that it got blurred when I got it uploaded *pouts*. But I'm really happy with how it came out! Thanks again!"

That's sad.... her story, I mean. Are you gonna make a comic out of it? If so, I'd love to read it! As for the pic....the bg is awesome, especially the trees on the feet of the mountains. It's a generally awesome pic, as usual2

2 Jessica Weinheimer replies: "You know, I never thought of making a comic out of it...That would be a lot of fun to do! Maybe I should try... "

12 Jessica Weinheimer replies: "Ya, but in a sense it's really beautifully ironic. Oh well, she has wings so she's lucky to an extent. Thanks!!"

Okay, I know that this is really lame, but I was watching my cousin the other day, and she watched an Aladdin cartoon where the princess turned into a snake, and this really reminds me of that...

Sorry, I'll stop being stupid. This is BEAUTIFUL! The colors are wonderful, and it has so much emotion. Great job!

11 Jessica Weinheimer replies: "heehee! Comments like this are never stupid! Thank you so much, this really made my evening!!"
