SciFi and Fantasy Art: Earth's Child

This one is inspired by Jean M. Auel's Earth's Children series. It's not actually of Ayla, just another prehistoric blond girl.

Very impressive, I must admit...I'm so glad I got the first comment for this one :21trut.:: Anyway, this is all around a great pic...she also looks like Goldmoon from Dragonlance to me. I'd love to see even more of your work, i'll check back

we all have many sides indeed - far more then most of us ever suspect of each other - sometimes even of ourselves... there is about this immage also a very great deal - i do not know for sure how to say - but there is a connectedness going back that we all have... jean auel - well she's just this lady who started writing in the laundramat for something to do while waiting for her clothes to dry - at least that's what she said anyway and i have no reason to not believe her - we all start somewhere - i'm not sure how her publishers recognized what they saw in her writting - but whatever it was - it certainly worked for them and for her...

a quirk of stylism, and an unusual departure from simple unhindered detail makes this very brave. the overall feel is an increased sense of inspiration. am i warm? perhaps u know me

I could definitely see this as Ayla though. Maybe just after she started hunting with her sling. Anyhow, I would have to say that this is your best...her hair, eyes, face in general...I like this a lot. 2

SO much better than the blasted coverart on those books. Bikinis indeed! Still, it sells books, I guess. Well though out, and well drawn, and once again glad it wasn't a bikini. -:- Mind you - how old are trousers? -:- Some might argue that she is off-balance and about to fall over (brace yourself for that one, so I think I'll beat them to it and say it gives her movement 2 -:- Oh, and somewhere else I read that drawing people without their feet is a real no-no, at least in the photography world. To which I say, "poo to them", because it looks fine to me, and anyway I always run out of paper when I get to the ankle ('cos anime legs just ASK to be stretched that extra inch...). -:- She looks very small and defenceless, which I guess is what you were aiming for. But I'm not convinced by the bag with a strap. No reason for that, I've no idea how long the idea of the shoulder strap has been around, but it just feels too modern to me. -:- If you ask me the best bit is the spear, just for the crosspiece. No idea how accurate it is but it LOOKS right. Though you wimped out by not showing detail of how the blade was attached 10

Wait, isn't she from 'Clan of the Cave Bear'? Yes, she is. She must be. She's the only prehistoric blonde girl named Ayla that I know of...
