SciFi and Fantasy Art: Fellraven

Yes it's me! I thought I'd have a go at portraying my alter ego; dark, mysterious, melancholy, a wanderer, a lone wolf, a kindred spirit, a picture of pensive might. It didn't work did it. This picture also shows you why I rarely attempt backgrounds with my artwork. But fear not! For I am presently working on a better version including lightning, a blasted oak and me the Fellraven.

Well, even though the background may be nothing more than a sketch, it is there, and that is pretty much what is is supposed to do... to be there, to give depth to a picture by being "behind" the main object in the picture. I like the sloping ground on this side of Fellraven.

15 Dec 1999	John Teall	Loading... i think that background looks excelent (although if you want to put more in it like you describe that would be super cool too) - if the guy were packing a mage stick instead of a sharp pointy he could just as easily be fingol o garanglas too... ~
