| 26 May 2001 | Damon 'Belgurdo' Lawrence | Very cool. I like the slightness of color. | |
| 25 Feb 2003 | Linda Gock | I hate it when the paper wrinkles, but at least it adds a bit to the aquatic atmosphere. With characters like these you could do your own comic Jason Hood replies: "thanks for the vote of confidence - my problem would be keeping the characters consistantly the same." | |
| 26 Feb 2003 | Valerie K Flynn | I love her face!!! Keep it up! Jason Hood replies: "Thank You!! it means a lot coming from someone with as cool a gallery as yours - I'm still envious of your color usage." | |
| 2 Mar 2003 | Helen White | Wow - this is fantastic! I love all the movement in the picture - her, the reeds, the material - it really is a beautiful picture! I personally think her hands look fine, but then, I can never do hands myself so I suppose I'm not the best person to judge. I know everyone's already said this, but her face is really good, as is her hair. But surely the tail must have taken aaaages, what with all those scales? I'm most impressed by your patience with detail! Jason Hood replies: "Thanks for the nice comments Helen, I never really think of myself as being overly detail oriented. In fact the tail scales start really getting on my nerves about a 3rd of the way through. when I first looked at it I thought the hands where pretty good - but the more I look at it I can tell that they are a little off - but I appreciate the vote of confidence cause hands are a thorough pain to draw." | |
| 15 May 2003 | | She's so pretty, and those scales! You're hand must be in indescribable pain! @_@ | |
| 15 Oct 2003 | Anonymous | what are you talking about!!! the arms aren't too small, there just reaching back and forward, like PERSPECTIVE | |
| 27 Dec 2003 | Carynn 'Mikou' Milne | I love her face but her arm and hand is a lil small...*shrugs* wonderful anyways | |
| 23 Jun 2004 | Heather Clever (aka: Hawks) | My favorite part is that blue scarf ('tis a sort of scarf, neh?). It gives a more elegant effect (though, it is rather hard to get much more elegant than mermaids). I like that you're not too detail-oriented. Sometimes detail can ruin the beauty of a pic. Keep up the splendorous work! | |
| 9 Sep 2004 | Fireness | Hmm, this is the type of style they use in comic books, isn't it? You know, Superman or whatever? I don't read them, so I dunno, but that is what it reminds me of. Anyway, I like it. ~Fire-chan | |
| 9 Jun 2005 | Karyn N. Anderson | Wow, that's really great! It looks like comic book art, like the really good ones they used to have, unlike the comic books today...*sigh* What happened to those? Anyway, great job. The one arm needs to be fixed, it's a little small, but great job!! Keep it up! Jason Hood replies: "Thanks for the comment - I started drawing based on comic books. Don't give up on comic book art -anything with alex ross, astonishing X-men and the superman/batman title are amazingly illustated" | |
