SciFi and Fantasy Art: Mermaid, watercolour style

My little gift to Claudia, who loves mermaids. her art site, The Tea Party, amassed 50 000+ hits in a year. She was getting so many hits until Geocities sent her a e-mail saying that it was disrupting their server. She loves mermaids, so I thought that I'd draw her one.

26 Jul 2008	11yr old girl	Loading... I want to be able to draw like this! It’s absolutely amazing! I love the way you draw flounder, the fish. It looks like him from Ariel, the little mermaid and I know a good mermaid pic when I see one! I love the color too but maybe you could think more carefully on how you present it next time. What disappointed me was the 50 000 hits in the middle, she shouldn’t have been holding that. But apart from that, well done!
19 Sep 2008	FireHawk	Loading... I adore this pic. The mermaid is so beautiful. The shading is particularly good as well...that’s my main art downfall...shading. I’m horrible at it. What is the URL of your friend’s site? I’d love to see the art she has there.
