SciFi and Fantasy Art: Maelaki (the second one)

As you can see with this one I sort of said screw inking. First one I've done in a long time with no initial stick figure/skeleton. I think it came out pretty well...The leg muscles are wrong, I realize that..I know how they are supposed to be, i'm just too lazy to fix a picture once it's been declared 'finished' and I know that on of the arms seems to long (or the other too short, depending on your perception) the hood is squashed, and his right wing is lacking any detail...anyway .5 HB mech pencil

I think it's a great picture. I don't see the longer arm, and the leg muscles look fine to me. I like his stance, and the way the wings are moving with him.

Hey, don't be so hard on yourself. You tell us what all your percieved faults are, even when most of us don't see anything wrong. I like this picture. The guy looks really evil, and tho pose has energy and interest to it. I would rather see a leass-than-perfect pose that is challenging than loads of boring poses!

The torso is REALLY good! I love the legs, they're great. The pose is great too. Looks just like he's about to swing that scythe at someone. I hate to critisize people who are better than me, but - the wings could have a tad more detail. Other than that, great pic.

Hehe, yeah I know the wings need work but, It was getting late and I was tired...perhaps some day I'll put in some detail in the wings..

Very cool!! I love the pose! The arm that is suposedly shorter just looks like you foreshortened it. the legs look fine to me. Stop being so dang critical of yourself when you drawing looks perfect!!2

Well..I wouldn't say perfect hehe..plenty of problems, incorrect musculature in the thighs and abdominals, as well as the upper arm.. proportion errors in spots...I'm glad ya like it =) but there are plenty of problems if ya look close enough..And I LIKE being critical of myself hehe, I don't ever get depressed from it, it just lets me know what I gots ta fix...sometimes it works *Smirks*

I think the anatomy looks fine... There's an excellent mood to the picture, sort of grim and mysterious.
