SciFi and Fantasy Art: Study on cross hatching..

This was during a time that I was hoping to start inking my pictures...but now that I've set my goals on a pen tablet, inking isn't really necessary...Regardless...I'd still like to know about your opinions....please only comment on the hatching, I know there are problems with the shape, I just drew it real quick without changing or planning, then did the cross hatching. .5 HB mechanical pencil as usual
