SciFi and Fantasy Art: Pain

I woke up one morning, the morning of october 12, 2000...and had an image of a goblin, bound and tortured in my head. I loved the image, thought about it all morning untill I had a chance to sketch out a small less than 1'x1' bit on my sketchbook cover so I didn't lose it. The next hour, I set about to draw the picture, I must have been doing something right, for my goal was to draw pain and sorrow, and one of my friends looked about in tears as she kept looking at it. I still believe that the documentary on Edgar Allen Poe that we were supposed to be watching influenced this, but regardless, it is my favorite, and an actually decent 'portrait'. Done entirely with .5 mechanical pencils (HB and 2B lead)

Wow....powerful picture, man. The embodiment of despair and hopelessness. I like it. A lot. Great work, once again.

Hey doll-face. Looking through your gallery again and adding comments. This has to be one of my favorites. The first time you showed it to me, I was just stunned. You're quite the artist. Proud of ya.

I can't remember exactly what the book was called, but this reminds me of it. I think it was called "taming your inner gremlins" or something like that. It was about dealing with the little gremlins in your head that tell you you are never good enough, you deserve to be miserable, or no matter how hard you try to do something, you'll never finish it. Great pic, great book. Killer combo! LOL
