SciFi and Fantasy Art: Dark Surian

Mmm... this is a picture of my 'character' Suriankathernia... and was done, mainly, because I don't have a single picture of her, by anyone, that shows off the fact that she has *scales*, and not 'hide'. She has billions and billions of tiny jewel-like scales all over her body, and I just wanted to show it off. ;) So... yeah. I did the entire thing in Photoshop, using the paintbrush tool set at different opacities (though I mainly kept it on 15%, and just 'applied' more where I wanted it to be brighter, etc.), as well as a bit of the blur tool. I'm not too happy with the wings, but *shrugs* oh well. This picture is also a first for me, because I did it without any pre-made outlines, either scanned in or thrown together in MS Paint.
