SciFi and Fantasy Art: Landscape from Nerval

It inspirated by some poems of Gerard de Nerval we studied in french class : this guy is a french poet and writer from the 19th century who was a little crazy but wrote texts full of dream and fantasy. He is fascinated with Italia and in one of his poem he tells about the Vesuvio... Well it's only inspirated, you probably all know how boring is school ...

I love the trees. They convey a feeling of monumental strength, as if their limbs will hold this canopy umbrella against the oncoming ash.

I love this landscape! It's quite impressive. I've got some new stuff I'm gonna upload soon so you might swing by my gallery in the near future. But I'm telling you, I don't have a thing that can compare to this.

Hey, i do know how boring it is at school. I graduated from high school, but that was just this year so i still remember it. Recently i have been working and discovered the same kind of boredom, and began drawing again. What you draw in school is far better than what i drew in school, yours is worth working on out of school, while mine was just to stave off boredom. I like the detail on those rocks around the cave? Or is it a hut? I think hut. And i like all the detail on that pine tree in the background, and the gnarled tree barks... I like it all.
