SciFi and Fantasy Art: Ever wonder?

This is the result of my mind wandering in math class one day. As my prof was going on about logrithems I started thinking, 'Hey you never see any female goblins, but goblins multiply so rapidly.' Then I started trying to figure out how that happened. Then I started doodling. (Please note I am a great advocate of PAYING ATTENTION IN CLASS but we all blow it once and a while :) Anyhow, I did a pencil and paper scetch and scanned it in, colored in PhotoImpact XL. Other notes, I dislike the background alot and would really like some feedback on it. Other other notes, I know this kinda has a matrix/dune thing going on but I wasn't really thinking about them when I drew it although I really like the originals (but not the sequels). Other other other notes, please comment!

Very original, I like it a lot. I really like how the little goblin looks in the chamber, fetal position and all, good job. I'm glad to meet a fellow goblin enthusiast! I do have a goblin chick on my site if you want to see what my idea of them is. I think, secretly, goblin females are really beautiful, that's why goblins keep them hidden. Anyway, again great job.

1 Jeremy N. Marcum replies: "Yes goblins are great, powerful and to be feared! I love those little green dudes. Thanks for the encouragement and I'll try to remember to get around to checking your gallery."

Aiii! Great idea! The whole idea of "growing" children kind of scares me...actually, it terrifies me, but I love the goblin idea! Great work! The machine is amazing, and the goblin graffiti is an amazing touch! Keep it up!

:-) Jeremy N. Marcum replies: "Actually I have to agree about growing children... I think it's an no good bad idea, but this is just fantasy and I think it's a cool idea for goblins 2 Glad you liked it"

Wow, someone alse with a twisted imagination! I love it!

:-) Jeremy N. Marcum replies: "Yes, I am very very proud of my imagination! But sometimes the stuff I come up with even disturbs me....."

Wow, I haven't looked at your gallery in a while. This is great. I love this picture. Great idea. Wonder if we could use vampire DNA instead. Just a thought. The background looks a bit flat. Maybe you could show where the wall and floor meet, or put some more chambers in the background, like someone else said. Keep it up.

2 Jeremy N. Marcum replies: "Hey thanks for stopping by again, and I'm glad you liked it."

A fun idea, and you executed it very well! Good depth and 3D-ish ness going there. If you ever do revisit it to work on the background, you might want to think about adding some shadowing under the legs of the devices and the supports of the pipe to 'anchor' them.

:-) Jeremy N. Marcum replies: "thanks for the comment, I'm glad you enjoyed it. Interesting thought about the shadows."

Ohhh!! I'll build one of those and hatch me a golblin! It shall be my minion!

:-) Jeremy N. Marcum replies: "Here, take a copy of the blueprints."

Like Cell in Dragonball. You did great with the grafity.

:-) Jeremy N. Marcum replies: "Uhh... just to say it I'm pretty sure Cell wasn't around until DBZ, although I didn't ever watch much of DB so I couldn't say that for fact. Thanks for the comment."

What is this "paying attention in class" you speak of...lol great picture I never thought of that particular problem with goblins, though im pretty sure drawing a female goblin would be easier..
