| 21 Dec 2000 | Diedra Rater | That's pretty good, I think. When I drew the b&w hands in my gallery, I was forced to use a model, I'm afraid. I drew my own hands for lack of a good picture, but that'd be rather difficult considering the position. Perhaps you could take a photo of a friend's hand to help? Suggestion, nothing more. Again, nice work. | |
| 3 Jan 2001 | Victoria K. Chapman | I do like this hand! I'm so bad at hands. I redraw my hands over and over again and it drives me nuts. The thumb looks a little short, though, I'm not sure if that's forshortening or not. Nice shading as well. Maybe I should do some more hand practice. Again, good work!
The thumb is indeed shorter than it should be. I keep trying to think of ways to fix the foreshortening, but I haven't, yet. [grin] I keep after it, though. Thanks for the comments.
| 9 Jan 2001 | Nike Oehme (aka LadyMin) | This is quite amazing! I cannot draw hands, just practizing it, so I really cherish this one!
Hands fascinate me. They're so different, and so versatile...
| 10 Jan 2001 | Marie. E. Bird | That's a great hand there, looks so realistic. Hands are hard, as are feet, I have to keep practising those basic body parts, when done well they can make all the difference, lovely work! ^_^
I guess I need to cruise over to a "foot fetish" site and grab some foot pics to work from, eh? [grin]
| 27 Jan 2001 | Chrissy K. | I thought that this came out very well! Great details. I can draw hands but it's the details that kill me
Heres an old saying "If you can draw the human body, you can draw anything." The body parts are so hard. I'v been trying for years. Is there more to come?
