SciFi and Fantasy Art: Celtic knot

A basic Celtic knot. First try, from the tutorial at www.aon-celtic.com Wow, that is a well-put-together site AND tutorial. The gold color didn't come through at all. pen-and-ink and colored pencil on copier paper.

Very well done! I will go and check out that site (finally)

Well, I enjoyed playing with it. This is SOOOO basic, but I'm working on it, it'd be a nice addition to some things...

Did you do that freehand? We had to do similar patterns in drawing lessons, but we got to use drawing boards and all that stuff that makes it really easy after a while. Never had the courage to try something like this without all that help though. Maybe once I have time will check that tutorial.

You're right, this is pretty basic, but well drawn all the same. I would have liked to see the effect the original gold color made.

Hi James! 1
I'm glad you found my website helpful! Your knot looks wonderful, by the way, it turned out very clean and I love that shading you did to show the overs and unders better. 1
Glad you had fun with the tutorials!
