SciFi and Fantasy Art: Kora and Brightmist
Yep, that's right, another pic with a Kreelin in it. And you thought you were free! Ahahahahahaha--ahem. I really didn't have the free time to color this, but I did it anyway, just to spite my schedual. Kora and Brightmist are not like the other pairs I've put up here or on DevArt. The others were Riders, kind of like a cross between Ranger/Soldier types. Kora is a cleric sorceress, one of the gifted beings that keep the Kreelin as effective as they are. Magical artifacts, (daggars,) are required to make the Kreelin 'grow', as otherwise they would not get any bigger than Brightie, here. As long as the artifact keyed to a Riders Kreelin is energized, the Kreelin can be changed back and forth. But clerics like Kora are required to keep them energized. Constant use makes them wear out very quickly.
For the most part Kora has no problems with her job, which she was chosen for after her gift surfaced, which didn't occur until she had served several years as a Rider. (Hence Brightmist. Not all of the clerics manage to attract one.) She tends to get cranky with kingdom politics however, which she was thrown in the midst of once she came into her power. Since the Kreelin are instrumental to the survival of her kingdom, clerics tend to be important beings and forced into unpleasant things like politics. Kora is a tactful person, and isn't horrible at being a public figure, but neither is she stellar at it and she'd really rather that she didn't have to bother with it at all.
Her facial tattoo is only on that one side there, a remenant of her Rider days. The ear tattoo however is symetrical with her other side. Most of the time you wont see her out of robes, but occasionally she breaks the rules and leaves the Red Palace for a ride with Brighmist, in whch case she likes to don her old uniform. (It looks very similar to Katryn's.)
Wasn't planning on bothering y'all with more of my funny Kreelin junk when I sketched this, but then I started playing in Photoshop and I'm really happy with how it came out. So hah, now you're stuck with it.
Art and concept (c) to me. Mine, mine! Ahahahahahaha!
