SciFi and Fantasy Art: Maudlin Solitude

After some time has passed, I'm still not sure how I feel about this one. I'm not all that happy with some of the colour, reflection, or lineart and considered leaving it out of this update. But then I thought, nah, I like the story. So here is the description, copied from a previous posting:

<div class='text block pppt'>One evening Tandi can't sleep, and walks out to the lake shrine near her dormatory. She finds Gryffin, who has been drinking heavily and has grown weepy and sentimental, although she can't make sense of what started his binge. (Something to do with his brother, it sounds like.) He's looking a bit heat addled from sitting too close to the fire, so she pulls him out of the shrine and into the night air to sober up a little. </div> <div class='text block pppt'>
I have some little sketches of what happens next, although I'm not sure if they are postable. Gryff calls upon the weepy-drunk classic muses and tells Tandi all about what a good friend she is, and how she's the only one who cares for him, etcetera, (I'm sure we all know someone who is this kind of drunk). Tandi isn't interested in him coming close enough to bear hug her, what with his wino breath and all, and of course he ends up in the lake, which is a much faster way to sober up really. </div>

25 Jul 2007	Miriam Tschanen	Loading... Hehe, I like this. The story behind it is so funny... I'm kind of curios about when the two of them finally realise that they like each other. ^^ The shrine-thing is cool, and I do like the reflections. Better than anything I could come up with, anyway...
