SciFi and Fantasy Art: Inner Self

So here is a painting I did in my art class. This is a self-portrait of me but I don't know where this idea came from. I liked how it was turning out so I finished it. It looks like a robot or an alien in hiding to me so I'm posting it up here. Comment as you will, thank you!

Yep, I definitely see it as a robot. You're making me jealous-I'm not a painter...I'm too impatient...wahh...(just being my normal annoying self). I really like it. The pieces of the face would fit together perfectly, something I'd probably mess up had I done it!

1 John-Clayton Wilson replies: "Thanks for your comment. I quite enjoyed this painting. (though the picture could have been better) The moderators sent me an e-mail to state that it was up here and they said I did a nice job!! So yay for me! ^__^"

Funny how this makes me think of future-set horror.

1 John-Clayton Wilson replies: "Oh Hannah! Thank you very much for stopping by. The pic turned out bad though, it looks much better in real life. I so desperately need to buy a digital camera!!!"

This soooo reminds me of a comic I read when I was like 10 or so 19
Don't know what it was called though...

This picture is so cool! And I always like it when stuff reminds me of when I was little, so that's an extra plus as well 12

2 John-Clayton Wilson replies: "Cool. Blast from the PAst...I like it when I do that too...when I see something that I remember from the past. I'm glad you like it! The scanner ruined the pic though...it looks much better in real life!"

This one's really great. It's very professionally made, i think you have made a very good composing on this, with a mix of symmethric and asymmetric parts. Great colouring, the human face looks very realistic. Keep it up!

12 John-Clayton Wilson replies: "Thanks for the nice comments. I only wish the scanner could have done justice to this pic...cause it looks much better in actual reality then on this computer. MAybe I should retake the picture and fix it up? *raise shoulders in a "I don't know" way*"

It's unfair... the amount of talent! wow... that is really friggin cool. I'm sittin here all emo and sh*t and I click on this picture and i'm jsut like... whoa... cool... did you honestly do that! agh... and I actually think that my computer painted crap is almost good... pfft... lol anyway, you hit everything spot on for this picture... Kudos and cookies! =)

1 John-Clayton Wilson replies: "Thank you. It was a project that just took control of me. I seriously wasn't going to do my self portrait this way, but it developed into something so random. My art prof told me I was a little scary for my imagination. I'm just sad the picture of my painting didn't scan properly..."

Perhaps inspired by the movie 'men in blacl<'?
